Ernst-J. Feicht studied Physics at the Technical Universities of Munich and Berlin, Germany, where he earned the Dipl.Phys. and Dr. rer.nat. degrees in 1967 and 1970, respectively. 1971 he joined Siemens AG. Until 1979 he worked on software and information technologies. This included a temporary assignment to the US as director for peripheral subsystems, and activities in Japan. Then he contributed as head of a development department to the public switching system EWSD. From 1984 to 1995 he directed the Training Center for Communication Networks. 1995/96 he was the project manager to reengineer the product life cycle in communication networks. Then be became Vice President in Marketing, responsible for competition, standards and intellectual property rights. Since 2003 he is with Corporate Personnel, responsible for University Liaison. From 1976 to 1996, he gave regular public seminars on Software Engineering and Project Management. 1996 he was invited to lecture at Bundeswehr-University and 1997 at Technical University. TU Munich appointed him Honorary Professor. Since 2003 is visiting professor at Tongji University, Shanghai.
